Review and Swatches: Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo

Hey there fellow beauty blabbers!
I know I said I'd review a few ELF (eyes, lips, face) products for you on my first post but I just got side tracked with how great this product is so I had to share with you!

As you can tell from the title of this post I have recently discovered these Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoos! I currently have 3 different shades and I am in love with them.

Bottom picture(left to right): too cool, bad to the bronze, and tough as taupe.

The packaging is extremely nice for a drugstore brand. They come in little glass jars somewhat similar to a MAC paint pot from what I'm told. You also get a pretty good amount of product in each jar, .14oz. Each of the shades I have are extremely creamy and pigmented so swiping your finger in it once and putting it on your lid is all you need. The jar will last you a while! Now onto the swatches!

This first picture was taken with a flash. (too cool, tough as taupe, bad to the bronze)
This picture was taken without the flash just to show you the different lighting (too cool, tough as taupe, bad to the bronze)

All 3 of these shades are definitely wearable in my opinion. I like to use the shade "too cool" as a base for a powder eye shadow to make the color pop. The shade tough as taupe is a great neutral everyday shadow and the bad to the bronze is also a great everyday shadow. I have tried all 3 of these out with a primer and with out a primer on my lids. Most cream eye shadows need a primed lid so they don't crease. I was a little afraid at first so I slapped on a primer and gave it a shot. The next day I didn't use a primer and I could not tell the difference between the two days so they are on your lid to stay! Which brings me to my next point, how long do they actually last?

Well, I am a college student and that means most of the day I'm in class. I wore "bad to the bronze" today to class from 8:30am until about 2:30pm and I didn't have a single smudge. I washed my face to go to bed tonight and it came off with make up removing wipes, even the little bits of shimmer in "bad to the bronze" which all shimmer can be a pain in the butt to get off, I had no problems.

So far, I don't have anything bad to say about any of these shades. I'm more of a neutral girl so I went for these shades instead of the crazy colored ones they had on the shelf. I hope Maybelline continues to add colors to this line! I would love to see a champagne type shade soon!

Until next time,
Jen the beauty blabber
